When we start to look at objects a different way, objects begin to have different meanings which can be personal to the artist or have a general social meaning. Our students have looked at symbolism and approached it in a variety of different ways.

Chuck Close Portrait Artist

One of the artists to research for portraiture is Chuck Close. We are amazed by the detail and precision needed to produce work like this. Using a gridding technique he has been able to produce photorealism detail

Photography and Photoshop


As part of our students' induction into art and design, they have produced some fantastic photographs using a variety of themes such as worm's eye view, reflection, depth of field and macros and then edited some using Photoshop
