Refining skills

Our students are at the stage where they have developed skills in a variety of media and now they are refining them. 

 

2d relief

The Boyle Family produced relief textures of the ground all over the world. Inspired by them one of our students has used this technique to record some fantastic textures. 

Portraiture

Looking at the artist Jean Pierre Rousslete one of our students has used different media to develop this skill in portraiture.

Charactures Unit 1

Charactures are difficult portraits to do as you have to focus on something about the person. One of our students has taken on this challenge as part of his Unit one work looking at the artist Jason Seiler. He has reproduced one of his works and started developing his own.

Chuck Close Portrait Artist

One of the artists to research for portraiture is Chuck Close. We are amazed by the detail and precision needed to produce work like this. Using a gridding technique he has been able to produce photorealism detail

 

Sarah Graham Photorealism

We've found this amazing photorealist artist and we love her work for its close up, bright colours and of course SWEETS! 

 

 

Cubism and Surrealism
