How quickly we've reached the Unit 1 - January deadline!

Students have spent he past 11 weeks working on extended Unit projects. A few days left and the work they're putting together is of a great quality.

Unit one AS

Our students have now started their unit one projects and have produced some good examples of photography, drawing and textiles. 

Layering in Photoshop

Using layering techniques two of our students have created some interesting pieces.

Ed Org creates wonderful fairies and one of our students has decided to use his work as inspiration. Here's her development from his work to her own. 

Back to college!

We're almost half way through unit 2 and we wanted to show you where we're up to. 

Unit 2 Released today

Today our students see the external paper, there are some really interesting questions covering a variety of topics including shape, animals and stories. We'll update you soon on their work.

In the meantime, this artist Joo Lee Kang has produced some amazing artwork with a biro.

2d relief

The Boyle Family produced relief textures of the ground all over the world. Inspired by them one of our students has used this technique to record some fantastic textures. 

Mono printing

One student has developed recording and use of line though mono printing. 

Portraiture

Looking at the artist Jean Pierre Rousslete one of our students has used different media to develop this skill in portraiture.

Portraiture Unit 1

Our students have had a fantastic Christmas break and have produced some lovely work. Looking at Angnes Cecile and Michael Shapcott for inspiration, one of our students has captured emotions.

The start of the first week back after the break and we hope you had a Happy Christmas and New Year.

We have 4 weeks left until the exam paper is released and we are busy working on completing our Unit 1 projects until then. We'll update you soon on the work we have produced in between eating Christmas dinner and spending time with our friends and families.
