Vanitas
When looking into art themes, vanitas is an interesting one. A statement made in The Old Testament 'Vanity of Vanities, saith the preacher, all is vanity' (Ecclesiastes 12: 8) still haunts us today.
The founders of this art form objects have human achievements such as a book and instruments, a skull and lamp all relate to mortality. Our students have produced some interesting research sheets.
